Aberdeen’s Tapeless Workflow Options

NLEdirect SD

This option is for people who are editing in standard definition, have a break-out box/video card (no fire wire), and have access to the needed tape decks.

NLEdirect HD

This option is for people editing with Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere on a Macintosh computer with an Intel processor that can be used in conjunction with a Matrox MXO2 I/O breakout box. For this option you must have access to the needed HD tape deck.

File Inserts SD

This option is for people who are interested in sending digital closed-captioned videos directly to stations’ play servers.  Great SD captioning option for people who can create full-res SD video in the following video formats: DV, .mov, MPEG-2, DVCPro

File Inserts HD

This option is for people who are interested in sending digital closed-captioned videos directly to stations’ play servers.  Great HD captioning option for people who can create full-res HD video in the following formats: MPEG-2, .mov, DVCPRO HD, XDCAM.

DVD Authoring Files

This option is used for people who are authoring DVDs.

Blu-ray Disc Authoring Files

This option is used for people who are authoring Blu-ray Discs.
